Automatic Centering System (Patented Technology)


The fully automatic alignment system independently developed by NKT comprises a stepper motor, three precision lead screws, precision guide rails, a differential controller, and a control system. Its minimum step resolution is below 0.5 micrometers, ensuring that the laser beam, after being focused, completely passes through the 0.18-millimeter central aperture of the detector. This effectively reduces the impact of off-axis light from the laser beam on the detector’s background signal, thereby enhancing the accuracy of test results. Since its establishment, NKT has been the first to equip all its instruments with an automatic alignment system. The automatic alignment system has consistently been a standard feature in all NKT models of laser particle size analyzers. Automatic adjustment ensures that the instrument’s optical system remains in perfect condition, guaranteeing both the accuracy and repeatability of tests. Moreover, the optical system quickly returns to its original position after the instrument experiences vibration, simplifying operator procedures and facilitating maintenance.
